Doug Murphy is a physician and practices in Virginia. His education consisted of The Lawrenceville School, the University of Pennsylvania and the New Jersey Medical School. He completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation or physiatry at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine in New York City. He enjoys reading books in foreign languages such as Spanish, French and Italian. He is married with two children and lives in a country house outside of Charlottesville with two cats and an Australian Shepherd named Ozzie. One of his children is autistic, and thus he supports all efforts toward curing and eliminating autism.
Andrea Murphy (Doug Murphy's sister) aka Andrea Moar went to Princeton High School and then to Davidson College in North Carolina. After graduation from college she pursued an acting career in New York City and landed a role as Carrie Sanders on All My Children. Upon leaving that role she traveled to Los Angeles and portrayed different roles including Julia on a soap opera called Rituals. She currently lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota and loves to dote on her beloved Brio, a Tibetan Terrier.
